Description

Tour the Marietas Islands’ waters by snorkeling

The fun of your Marietas Islands tour begins in Puerto Vallarta when you board a modern catamaran, whose bilingual guides and crew will take care of you with whatever you need, including drinks from a domestic open bar during your sail.

You’ll go explore the shore of the volcanic Marietas Islands, whose beauty was made famous by oceanographer Jacques Cousteau. Take a dip in these clear waters and come face to face with a plethora of colorful sea life with an unforgettable snorkeling encounter.

Kayaking and more snorkeling on the bluest waters

Next up, the catamaran will take you to the Marietas Islands, where you can continue coming into contact with almost 100 species of aquatic and subaquatic marine life, plus migratory birds. This fauna makes the area a protected national park, and you’ll have the privilege of kayaking with eco-guides through the caverns and archways formed by volcanic rocks.

Additionally, you get another round of snorkeling on this stunningly gorgeous ecosystem, and a deli-style lunch will be provided back at the catamaran.

Experience humpback whale season in Puerto Vallarta

A highlight for travelers visiting Puerto Vallarta during winter season is the rush of witnessing humpback whales and wild dolphins in their natural habitat. The humpback whales return from a summer of feeding along the coast of Alaska to the Mexican Pacific every year from December to March. Watch these magical giants soaring in the air, just a few feet away from your boat, during your Marietas Islands tour.

Watch these magical giants soaring in the air, just a few feet away from your boat, during your Marietas Islands tour. When your excursion wraps up, have even more fun on the cruise back through Banderas Bay, as the catamaran’s crew will put on a show until you make it back to Vallarta, with drink in hand.
