The swim adventure in begins with comfortable transportation from your Riviera Maya or Riviera Cancun resort to Puerto Aventuras, the most upscale gated community south of Playa del Carmen. Once you arrive to the dolphinarium, you’ll start out your program with 10 minutes of training under the guidance of professional dolphin handlers before you get in the water.
Highly intelligent and social animals, dolphins enjoy interacting with people, so the trainers will teach you commands to help you work with dolphins. When you’re in the water with these sea mammals, you’ll be ready to provide hand targets, as well as shaking fins and even get a belly ride swim. You’ll also get a kiss from your new friends during the 50-minute interactive program.
Enjoy lunch and meet Puerto Aventuras manatees
Once you’re back on dry land, enjoy a buffet meal and non-alcoholic beverages, which are included in your excursion. You’ll also have a chance to get close to manatees with a 15-minute educational session that will teach you about the Riviera Maya’s ‘sea cows’. Photographers will be on hand to take pictures of your day, although the photos you purchase come at an additional fee. When your day in Puerto Aventuras comes to an end, you’ll be returned to your resort in comfortable transportation.
