The first stop is taqueria el Sueño where you will taste the best Barbacoa tacos. “Barbacoa” is a popular dish found at many Mexican restaurants. It is commonly made with beef or lamb. This flavorful meat is deliciously seasoned and cooked low and slow until perfectly tender. Layer it in tortillas with your favorite toppings! Your next stop will be at taqueria Chuy, traditional beef tacos paired with the drink of the Mayan gods, “El Pulque”. Pulque is a prehispanic fermented alcoholic beverage made from the sap of the maguey plant. Traditionally, you must visit a pulqueria to taste pulque, but you can try the good stuff at this taqueria. Finally, “Tacos al Pastor”, a signature of Mexican cuisine, will be the gold pin to this culinary experience. Every grillmaster, taqueria owner, and food cart cook has their version of this classic that feels the streets with the smell of spicy grilled pork with charred pineapple and onion, but you will lick your fingers at “Los Tarascos” restaurant.
