Traverse the Road to Hana
Your East Maui waterfalls and rainforest hike can begin with pick-up at your hotel or meeting at a central Kahului Park & Ride location. (The pick-up is additional; meeting is free). From Kahului you will head along the Hana Highway, or Road to Hana, for its twisting and turning ride into the rainforest. When it is time to hike, you will set off into the jungle, following trails and streams to picturesque waterfalls.
Climb waterfalls and swim in natural pools
The East Maui waterfalls and rainforest hike showcases three to five waterfalls, ranging in height from 10 to 40 feet. Beneath each cascading fall, you will find clear swimming pools, and you are invited to jump right in! Three of the falls feature volcanic shelves with 10- to 15-foot lodges serving as spring boards for cannon balls into the natural pools below. End your day soaking under a waterfall, and enjoy snacks and lunch throughout the outing.
