Description

Swim with the whale sharks of Baja

Your adventure begins with early transportation from your Cabo resort, with a stop in Todos Santos for a hearty breakfast and a brief exploration of this magical town, home to famed Hotel California and many beautiful beaches. Then your journey continues northward to the city of La Paz, whose marina faces the Gulf of Mexico. That’s where you’ll board a catamaran to set off into the Sea of Cortez in search of the largest fish in the world.

Enjoy drinks and music as you sail and put on your included wetsuit and snorkel gear once the boat’s crew members spot the whale-sized sharks. Jump right into the deep blue waters and marvel at the underwater universe surrounding the whale sharks. Get close to these gentle giants and swim freely knowing that the enormous fish are completely peaceful — they simply go with the flow of the Baja waters in search of plankton.

Visit the beautiful city of La Paz

After your swim in the Sea of Cortez, say goodbye to your whale shark friends as the catamaran sails back to La Paz. Back on land, you’ll have the chance to explore this city that was founded in 1535 and is the capital of Baja California Sur state. As such, it’s full of culture and history at every turn. You’ll have plenty of time to shop, purchase lunch and take photos of the wonderful sights along the boardwalk before hopping back on your vehicle and returning to your Cabo resort.
